ASE Singapore Pte Ltd is one of the leading service provider of test solutions of IC chips in Singapore and whose customers include some of the largest wafer fabs and integrated device manufacturers in US, Europe and Asia.
Due to its strong growth, ASE Singapore expanded its existing factory in Ang Mo Kio by expanding its logistic and testfloor areas. They also had to equip these areas with Data network and Voice telephone points for their new PCs, staff and additional test machines which will be integrated into their existing LAN.
After undergoing a strict evaluation process, ASE Singapore decided to award the Data and Voice cabling works to Cable Master. Their main criteria in choosing Cable Master was due to our experience in carrying out cabling works for manufacturing plants and test facilities especially in "clean-room" environments.
We started work in Dec 2007 and completed it by May 2008 as the cabling works had to go by phases in line with the construction of their new logistic and testfloor areas. The cabling works involved Fiber Optic and UTP Cat.6 cables for the data backbone links to their existing Servers in the main factory. We also installed 100-pair Telephone cables to link their new Voice points to their existing PABX. For both the Data and Voice points, UTP Cat.5 Enhanced cables were installed in a Structured Cabling method together with Patch Panels, 42U Cabinet Racks and Wall-mount Racks. We also provided the Cable Tray & Metal Trunking infrastructure for the cabling project.
Upon completion of testing and commissioning, ASE Singapore was able to start the operation of their new logistic and testfloor areas smoothly and on schedule. Cable Master is happy to be a part of ASE Singapore's expansion and continues to provide cabling services for their office and factory.
